Founder & President

Pastor Sylvanus Murray has been ministering the Gospel of Jesus Christ since 1991. He served as Youth President and Young Adult Coordinator for about four years at the

Flaming Evangelical Ministries a.k.a. Flaming Bible Church (HQ) - One of the largest churches in Sierra Leone, with over 2,000 members.

During his years at Flaming Bible Church, Pastor Murray Pastored three branch churches - (1) Flaming Bible Church Brookfields/Williams Street, (2) Flaming Bible Church Aberdeen and (3) Flaming Bible Church Gooderich.

In 1998, Pastor S.S. Murray founded the Youth Empowerment for Development Ministries (YEDEM) International. This ministry was established mainly to cater for the needs of young people in Sierra Leone and beyond. More information on Pastor Murray's involvement in youth work can be found HERE.

By the grace of God, Pastor Murray has decided to spend the rest of his life here on earth preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all nations as commissioned by Jesus Himself - "...Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." (Mark 16:15)

That's why the Global Evangelism Mission (GEM) was established.

So far, Pst. Sylvanus S. Murray has visited the following countries: Liberia, Ivory Coast, Egypt, Ethiopia, Sudan, Kenya, Gambia, Guinea, Congo, DR, Zambia, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Netherlands (Holland), Thailand, Taiwan, UAE and Malaysia.

Daphne M. Murray

Co-Founder & Vice President

Daphne Murray is an inspirational Praise and Worship Leader. She was a worship leader at the Flaming Bible Church Headquarters (Flaming Evangelical Ministries) for several years.

Mrs. Murray also worked as Secretary at the Flaming Evangelical Ministries for two years before joining the United Nations Mission in Sierra Leone (UNAMSIL) in 2000. After serving UNAMSIL for three years, she then got an employment with the UN-backed Special Court for Sierra Leone (SCSL) in 2003.

In 2004, Daphne Murray got an opportunity to serve as a United Nations Volunteer (UNV) with the UN Mission in D. R. Congo (MONUC). She spent over three years with MONUC before resigning her post and returned home later on in 2007.

Daphne Murray is a very God-fearing Woman; her exemplary life-style always distinguishes her from her peers and colleagues. She loves sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with friends and relatives. For over 13 years now, God has been using Mrs. Murray to minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ to many of her friends and relatives.

Many of these are now Born Again and living their lives for Jesus Christ! Praise God!!! globe evangelism
